Yeah but they nickel and dime you for modules. Must be gold cart member to use modules which there’s a fee for. Must pay a fee for those modules as well.
If we’re talking free… eShop is much better..

Another paid solution is the Market theme. It’s a complete ready-to-go theme for Wordpress that has a shopping cart system already built-in to the theme. It also comes with a convenient product manager plugin for the WP administration area, so that you can easily add and edit product information. But there’s better free options. And once you start trying to add options you’ll find out exactly how “FREE” it is?

There are always going to be other options but WP e-Commerce is still the best most advanced solution. We charge for addition modules and support but that is all – if people don’t like that then they should donate two salaries worth of funding for a couple of years
The Shopp spam is just embarrassing now days and eshop is indeed another plugin (so is Yak) but whether or not they are better is a matter of opinion.
What I can tell you is that the WP e-Commerce Plugin 3.6.9 is one sexy piece of software. The next version 3.6.10 is going to blow your socks off – the new template system, code rewrite, advanced modules…

This plugin looks pretty cool. I’m looking for a plugin that allows me to accept Paypal, upload pictures, and sell downloadable products. I think this may be what I’m looking for.
i tested the wp-ecommerce plugin and it has some really annoying bugs. i have the latest version. try setting the “add to cart” option to show, add some items to the cart, go to checkout, choose paypal as your payment method then make the purchase…it doesn’t work. the procedure defaults to manual payment all the time.
the paypal payment gateway only works when the “add to cart” option is hidden and button type is set to “buy now”.

Hi, On my e-store demo site I’ve used wp e-commerce plugin and translated in Indonesia language. Some tips using this plugin I write on my blog to help Indonesia people. Although I’ve not used gold cart, in my opinion wp e-commerce plugin is a great shopping cart plugin. But if wanna more great e-commerce software, just try !!! prestashop.com
