AdSense-Deluxe is an easy-to-use plugin for WordPress 1.5+ (including WP 2.0) for quickly inserting Google or Yahoo! ads into your blog posts, and managing when and where those ads are displayed. It was developed for my own use after an exhaustive search for a similar tool turned up nothing adequate. Have a look at the following features.

Features:

  • Use simple HTML comments for embedding AdSense or Yahoo! Publisher Network ads in a WordPress post
  • Choose from any number of ad styles and format on a post-by-post basis
  • Globally change ad styles
  • Selectively disable display of individual ad styles or all ads
  • Integrated AdSense Preview tool (a sandbox) for seeing what ads will appear on a given page. (Stand-alone AdSense SandBox Tool also available)
  • All settings configured through WordPress Options interface (no knowledge of plugins or PHP required)
  • Easily test different ad formats and color styles across (all, or) a range of blog posts.
  • (Optionally) Apply CSS formatting to the AdSense code.
  • Does not display live ads when editing a page, instead placeholders are shown.
  • Ads are EXCLUDED from RSS feeds — even if you have full-text feeds enabled. (new in v0.3)
  • Preview your ad blocks from the AdSense-Deluxe options page (in case you forget what the ad style looks like), and ads can be clicked without penalty since they use a test account.
  • Support for wp-tiger-admin plugin’s CSS in post/page editor QuickTags

reviewme.png

By using ReviewMe, you get paid to review products and services on your site. You control what you review. People ignore ads nowadays. In much the same way that banner blindness set in, many publishers have noticed their contextual ad click through rates and earnings drop over time. Because the reviews are not formatted to look like ads, publishers are able to deliver more attention and value than through advertising via any other marketing channel.

Due to a wide scope of interest many ad systems show exceptionally generic ads that are irrelevant and annoying, hurting the publisher’s ability to monetize the attention asset they have built. writers review what they find interesting. If the writer finds something interesting the odds are it is going to be well in tune with what readers of that channel like.

ShoeMoney Media Group entered the ring tone market early, captured traffic and has monetized it. Finding angles and exploiting them for profit is a key aspect of SMG. Maximum and diverse revenue streams are built on fairly narrow marketing concepts that are then diversified. This is what Jeremy Schoemaker calls, “The Coke Theory. If you are already making Coke then you can make Diet Coke, Cherry Coke, etc and turn a profit on those as well. A company can achieve growth through small degrees of separation bet
ween sites, maximizing diversity within a small industry.

From the beginning of SMG, Schoemaker focused on the aspects of marketing that were second nature to him. He built his sites on those natural marketing principles while running the backend. Web design was a secondary skill, so he focused on the marketing of the sites, which then built revenue. Later he would invest in a professionally done design. Schoemaker continues to focus on existing sites and expand their income potential by building a network of sites centered on a central theme. Again, the “Coke Theory.

You will find lots of excellent marketing tips from ShoeMoney. You can see that ShoeMoney has attracted over 13000 subscribers. I am sure you can gain a lot form reading ShoeMoney.

BloggingPro Wordpress Theme is a three column theme which is WordPress 2.1 ready and should work just fine in WordPress 2.0.x. It has been tested on a variety of browsers. It comes in two versions, one with the big footer like Blogging Pro, that gives information on recent posts, recent comments and most commented stories, and one without the big footer, and thus no need for any plugins at all.

For the plugin required version, you can download the separated zip file that contains the three plugins needed. All three are from the talented Nick Momrik of MtDewVirus.

Technically Exec-PHP executes code inside of <?php ?> tags by just wrapping your whole text into ?> <?php tags and hand it over to the PHP eval() function. By that no parsing of your code needs to be done by the plugin itself. Although the plugin adds some security features, it is not recommended to use the plugin in WordPress installations with untrusted users.

With Exec-PHP you can execute PHP code in the excerpt and the content portion of your posts and pages (in the following called articles) as also as in text widgets. To execute code, just type in the PHP code as you usually would.
