I just made a single change to my blog to speed up the posting process exponentially. I’ve been running the Multi URI Plugin to ping a number of URI’s when I published a post. Well, it turns out that at least one of those URI’s was timing out. This either slowed down the publishing greatly or aborted altogether. I simply removed the offending URI, and I’m back in business.

The caching tip is the most bang for the proverbial blog. One of my blogs was literally KILLING my server, and a feature on the Digg homepage made it official. Installing the WP-Cache saved the site and its cut down server load considerably.
