In this kind of scenario I think the blog readers understand that there will be no commitment for daily blog posts, and will make do with a range of frequencies. He does have lots of other things to do.

I had to make sure that he didn’t get turned off by the whole experience by getting him to commit to an unreasonable schedule. He does usually post at least once a week though.

It is important to remember that, despite all the ‘how to’ guides and ‘best practice’ rules and recommendations for blogging and social media out there – it *is* all being made up as we go along, and that is one of the attractions of blogs and other self-publishing platforms is flexibility.
