Astereostudio has released his first Premium WordPress Theme titled simply “Market“. Market allows you to easily run your own Wordpress powered marketplace. There are many custom fields do much of the work for you - from setting a price to including that price, the name of the product, and other info and sending it all to Paypal for you. The theme can also easily be used as a way to showcase a portfolio as well. Below are some of the features found in this theme.
- Function over form - The market theme was designed to focus on its functionality as opposed to its design. The theme is intended to be customized to meet the needs of its specific store, so the design may seem fairly boring at first. But, with the power of css, you can do a lot with it.
- Hassle free integration - Using your admin email as specified in the Wordpress settings the buy now button will forward all payments to you.
- Custom fields working hard for you - The theme uses multiple custom fields including one for a large product image, additional product images, price, and specs.
- Thumbnail Generator - Code included and setup for you so thumbnails are all generated at the right sizes.
- Fancyzoom for thumbnail pop-ups - Fancyzoom is in use for product thumbnails on the single post / product view page.
- Multi-Pack Downloads - Download the standard Market theme install or a few other custom packages, such as one with the “buy now” option replaced with a “add to cart” option powered by FatFreeCart.
Market is available for just $40 USD in the form of a standard license. A Developers License is also available for $120 USD. Wordpress, in my humble opinion :), is by far the easiest blog and content management system in Internet. Even the 10-year old child is able to run a website using WP. Moreover, it offers awesome functionality and can satisfy anyone. Customization is another BIG pro of WP. You can make it look like You want.

i love the endless possibilities offered by the plugins. in fact, with a free piece of software you can build a whole online business.
I really like using WordPress because it’s free, it’s easy to use, you can use it even if you don’t know how to code html, php or css.
And the main reason because it gives you the possibility to say what you want, freely.
I like WordPress because it has many plugins and themes to choose from.
and you can do many things with custom field.

i love wordpress because it gives easy access for starter and enough flexible once you have more programming knowledge, and i can see the future of it is, dividing designer and developer roles so it’s much easier to achieve collaboration across the sea! I’m looking forward to the day when everything is possible with wordpress within few clicks!
I have an online handcraft shop: redmush.etsy.com, if i win i would be able to have my first online shop made by myself! that’ll be so cool.
I love WP because I can build websites that my clients can update (even if they aren’t uber tech-geeks) by themselves; which is a lot more productive for me.
That and the fact there’s so many blogs like this one showcasing new themes/plugins/demos on everything to do with WP. yay!
I love Wordpress. It makes sense to me. I enjoy making themes and I really love watching as it evolves into a powerful and versatile software. I hardly understand half of it, but I know enough to get Wordpress to give me what I want in a site I enjoy puttering around with.
I am amazed at this Market theme and would love to discover a way to implement it on my site.

I like Word Press because even Web Designers can use it.
Other blog platforms I have tried were more difficult to design around. And the fact that there is a whole community writing plugins and other useful features for WordPress makes it even better.
I like wordpress cause it makes me money!
Simple, even my wife can use it, change the theme etc easily. Just teach her howto upload, activate plugin and posting. Forget and see her posting what she want to post

WP-market looks very promising product and will feel a gap in the fine tuned wordpress themes.
As a designer, i found it a piece of cake to install it, it has a clear and less complicated way to create templates, it has a nice and well organized admin panel, and it looks more refined than the other products of its kind.
That’s the reasons i choose it as my first step in stepping into the Full Website Production and not just html and css markup.
WordPress is simple-to-install, simpler-to-use, and allows developers like me to leverage the intuitive semantic engine when building blogs, or even full-blown small-to-medium-scale CMS’s. I cannot overstate the benefit of the intuitive admin interface when deploying a solution that the customer will need to make updates on themselves. And it is not only easy-to-extend, but has a mega-repository of ready-to-use plugins that will add about any functionality you can think of.
WordPress has become my defacto standard when building a site. Why waste time with anything else?
i like using wordpress simply because its the most user friendly blogging platform i’ve tried. i can be a dummy on blogging and still be able to find my way around even without the “blogging for dummies” book. plus points would be it being so customizable and easy to use and install/upgrade/maintain.

I love Wordpress. It’s simple, elegant and powerful. Because it can grow with my coaching clients, it’s great for my new mediators launching their first blogs. In fact, I’m switching my other blog over.

I like Wordpress because:
1. It’s easier to use compared to Drupal and Joomla (in my humble opinion).
2. The themes and plugin folders are all you ever need to know where to place plugins and themes!
3. WP is easy to intsall, and is now ‘widgetisable’ and ‘ajaxable’.
4. It allows me to choose themes with only RIGHT sidebars (my preference)
5. Comes with so many compatible plugins to choose from, like the Web 2 bookmarking plugins.
6. WP allows me to create SEF (search-engine-friendly) URLs.
7. I can find so many other like-minded bloggers using WP!
8. Wordpress is free (and community-supported)!
